Methodology/ Study Modes
Resolute Training can adapt and customise the training and experience to suit all types of learners.
You may be young, old, city-based, or rural-based in any state, territory, or country.
We adopt an approach that no two learners are the same and may need different levels of support.
We are here to support you through the pathways of your choice.
We have provided solutions that include:
100% Face to Face training and assessment
This involves our trainers attending your workplace or meeting in a training facility to complete learning and assessment activities. Although this will increase the cost of delivering courses and completing assessments, it may be your preferred option.
Who should consider “Face to Face” training?
If you are not “good with computers”
Have the available time to attend the sessions.
What to get more out of the training experience.
Enjoy the social aspects of training.
Distance / Online training or Connected Learning
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic there has been significant growth in the use of online platforms to facilitate training activities.
This involves connecting with your training through an online portal (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Click meeting), The trainer will provide the training and support you need while you navigate the learning material. This may be through online seminars, support sessions, or if required 1 on 1 support sessions.
Who should consider “Distance / Online” training?
- If you are computer literate (Can operate word processing programs and internet browsers)
- Have limited time available to attend face-to-face sessions.
- Need flexibility with training times
- Live in remote or rural communities where access to training is limited.
- Reduce the cost of training and assessment activities.
Self-Paced / Online Learning
This involves completing your training through an online learning management system.
The trainer will be available to support you, however, the learning activities are designed for you to navigate in your own time, access is available 24 x 7 and can be completed whenever you can access it.
We still provide support, however, there are usually no “seminars or lectures” to attend. Once the learning material is completed we will organise a time and place to complete any outstanding assessments that require observation.
Who should consider “Self Paced / Online” training?
- If you are computer literate (Can operate word processing programs and internet browsers)
- Have limited time available to attend face-to-face or distance learning sessions.
- Need flexibility with training times
- Live in remote or rural communities where access to training is limited.
- Reduce the cost of training and assessment activities.
- Are a motivated learner who can keep yourself engaged with the material.
Blended Learning
Blended learning is when we combine various methods of training and assessment, this might require self-paced learning through our learning management system, online sessions with a trainer, and onsite assessment.
Who should consider “Blended Learning”?
- If you are computer literate.
- Have limited time.
- Would like to gain a Statement of Attainment or qualification but still work at the same time.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of prior learning is what we call an Assessment only pathway, this involves gathering evidence of your existing skills and knowledge gained through exposure in the industry.
RPL is not always the “easiest pathway”, keeping in mind it is all about having evidence of the skills or knowledge. Your assessor cannot use their “gut feel” or their opinion to grant competency, they are there to assess the evidence provided.
Anyone considering RPL as a pathway must be able to provide evidence they meet all the criteria for each unit of competency.
Who should consider “Recognition of Prior Learning”?
- Working in the industry of choice for a substantial amount of time.
- Have access to all types of evidence that could be used to determine competency. (Business documents, authentic photographs, Reports, Quotations, Transactions, WHS systems, Customer service systems, etc)
