Course Overview
This is an assessment only pathway requiring the student to provide evidence of various aspects of there career in the swimming pool and spa industry.

Who Should do this course
This qualification is for people who have worked as swimming pool and spa technicians for a minimum of two (2) years, customer service representatives in a retail swimming pool and spa store or a person who wants to advance their career within the swimming pool and spa industry. They will be assessed on their abilities including how to service and maintain various types of swimming pools and spas, maintain a safe work environment, installation and maintenance of swimming pool and spa equipment.
Students will be assessed on their abilities to service and maintain swimming pools and spas. This will include:
- Site safety planning and complying with Work Health and Safety Requirements.
- Regular pool and spa maintenance
- Recognising and rectifying water quality issues;
- Safely removing and replacing swimming pool and spa equipment.
- Complying with Australian Standards relating to the swimming pool and spa industry.

This qualification will provide you with the current qualification in the industry as a reflection of your Knowledge, Skills and experience in the industry

On successful completion of this qualification, you may be able to apply for licensing through state-based licensing organisations (IE Fair Trading in NSW)
On Enrolment
Student will have 24 months to complete the process
$1500* deposit on enrolment.
Final payment of $2,400 due 1 month after enrolment.

- Work for at least 2 years in the swimming pool and spa industry.
- Have proven and documented experience in - customer service, business documentation, Work, Health and safety (WHS), Pools, Spas, and Sales
- Have access to and be able to submit verified evidence of work which may include service sheets, water test reports, WHS documentation, photos, diary, and schedule entries.
- Be able to submit at least 2 references / third-party reports to verify the possession of relevant skills and knowledge
- Have a comprehensive and detailed resume outlining relevant work history in the Pool and Spa industry

Training
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- 20 units of competency
- 8 core units
- 12 elective units.
Electives are to be selected as follows:
- a minimum of 10 elective units must be selected from the electives listed below
- up to 2 elective units may be selected from those listed below or from any currently endorsed training package or accredited course provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
