Certificate IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service – CPP41319
Course Overview
This is a qualification for people working in the swimming pool and spa service sector. It applies to technicians in the field who apply analytic and problem-solving skills to treat water quality problems, as well as install, service and repair the key systems and components of domestic, commercial and public swimming pools and spas.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Course Information
Delivery is provided through a blended / flexible approach, this includes self-paced learning and assessment tasks, online seminars, online support sessions, and onsite observation and support.

On Enrolment
Delivery will vary depending on the amount of experience, knowledge, and skills you may have in the swimming pool and spa industry. In addition to these hours of face-to-face delivery, there will be various other activities including online tutorial sessions, self-directed learning, critiquing your peers’ work, obtaining documents for the RPL process.
The total amount of Training will be approx. 377 hours to 800 hours.
Students Duration
Although skills and knowledge can vary based on the experience we allow up to 24 months to complete all knowledge and skills requirements.

Candidates are required to hold the CPP31218 Certificate III in Swimming Pool and Spa Service or CPP31212 Certificate III in Swimming Pool and Spa Service
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years and above
- Be sufficiently proficient in English to be able to work successfully in a highly regulated environment;
- Be physically able to complete a first aid certificate;
- Non-refundable deposit of $1500 required at enrolment Full payment required prior to commencement of course
All resources required to complete the course face to face
- Laptop or tablet to use during training (including on delivery days)
- Pens, pencils, ruler, notepad.
- Students purchase their own copies of any standards or legislation.
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- 20 units of competency
- 8 core units
- 12 elective units.
Electives are to be selected as follows:
- a minimum of 10 elective units must be selected from the electives listed below
- up to 2 elective units may be selected from those listed below or from any currently endorsed training package or accredited course provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
