Duration and Study Load

You will have access to the course for a period of 24 months. You will need to complete approximately 30 hours of online training and assessment along with 12 – 16 hours of face-to-face training.

Entry Requirements & Prerequisites

Qualified Electrician in Australia (Supervisor or Contractor).

Physically fit to be able to complete a battery installation.

Not included in Course

Australian Standards – You will need to access these through Techstreet, SAI global or a reseller. (CHECK WITH SMART ENERGY COUNCIL. Standards Required include:

  • AS/NZS 5033 – Photovoltaic arrays
  • AS/NZS 4777.1 – Grid connection of energy systems via inverters
  • AS/NZS 3000:2018 – Wiring Rules
  • AS/NZS 3008.1.1 – Electrical installations – Selection of cables
