Course Overview

This qualification provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain renewable energy (RE) electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. It includes requirements and competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain stand-alone RE equipment and systems. There are skills and knowledge covered in this qualification that require a licence or permit to practice.. This qualification provides you with the units required to apply for accreditation in Grid Connected PV, Battery Storage and Stand Alone Power Systems with the Clean Energy Council.

Duration and Study Load

You will have access to the course for a period of 24 months. You will need to complete approximately 120 hours of online training and assessment along with 50 hours of face-to-face training and / or workplace assessment .

  • Qualified Electrician in Australia (Supervisor or Contractor).
  • Completed Grid Connected Solar (UNITS).
  • Physically fit to be able to complete a battery installation.
